History

Sharada Kala Nikethanaya is an institution inaugurated in 1983 in order to develop, popularize and promote Indian classical music. This Institution is affiliated to Bhathkande Vidyapith Lucknow India.

:: Director :: Anil Mihiripenna, Graduate, Vishva Bharati University (Shanthiniketan) M.A. Musicology Open University U.S.A. :: The Staff :: Consists of eminent Vocalists, Instrumentalists, dancers who have graduated and done Masters in various universities in India. :: Classes :: We conduct classes in Vocal music, Instrumental Music & Dancing (Katak and Bharata Natyam). :: Vocal Music :: Prathama, Madhyama, Visharada & Nipun classes. Voice training is also done by experts.

:: Instrumental Music :: Sitar, Flute, Esraj, Violin, Sarod, Tabla, Guitar (Oriental) & Harmonium will be taught by well trained and qualified exponents in their relevant fields. Dance Classes will be conducted in Bharatha Natyam & Katak dance by exponents who are trained and qualified from Indian Universities. Classes will be held at Sharada Kala Nikethanaya, 1st floor state bank of India building, Mudalige mawatha, Colombo1 on Saturdays and Sundays 9.00A.M. to 5.00 P.M. week day classes also could be arranged. :: Nipun Classes :: Classes will be held for Vocal, Instrumental and Dance at weekends.
