This
book is mainly written in order to fulfill the vacuum
created by the dearth of instrumental compositions available
for the music students.
It consists of compositions (Gaths)
for all the instruments according to their techniques,
i.e. for pluck instruments such as
Sitar, Sarod and Guitar , Mazith Kahani and Raza Khani
styles has been composed and there are other styles
of compositions for Violin, Esraj and Flute.
All the Ragas prescribed for Prathama
to Sangeeth Visharada Examinations for Bhatkhande Vidyapith
Examinations are included with Gaths for Vilambith (Slow
speed) Madhya ( Middle ) and Druth (Fast) along with
thans.
Rhythmic patterns such as Teen Tal,
Ektal, Deepchandi, Jhap Tal, Roopak, and Dadar a has
been used for the Gaths to expose the students for different
thala used in the Indian Classical Music.
This book is useful for all the classical
music teachers as well as students especially for instrumentalists.
At the end of the book Paltas or exercises
for Vocal as well as instruments has been included.
